Dive into the heart of the Alps and swim with a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc summit. The summer cable car whisks you up to Plan Checrouit to enjoy the spectacular natural beauty of the Aosta Valley.
The alpine swimming pool, the pinnacle of the resort during the summer months of July and August, is just a short walk from the cable car and is an ideal spot for relaxing amid panoramic views.
The 18-meter-long and 1.60-meter-deep pool is kept at a soothing 28-32 degrees Celsius – ideal for a refreshing dip.
Surrounding the pool are a sunbathing area, a sauna and a snack bar featuring focaccia specialties. For children water wings are available.
A playground is located just outside the pool area.

The highest European festival of Celtic art, culture and musique is waiting for you in the Peuterey Woods, at the foot of Mont Blanc, in rhythm with music and dance, among the smiles and joy both of adults and children. Celtica Valle d'Aosta dreams enhance the atmosphere of ancient times and of a legendary population among high peaks and green woods of the Aosta Valley. Celtica Valle d'Aosta is dances, concerts, lectures, animations, games, handicraft, beer and typical food: the feast in the festival which renews itself every year to charm and fill every heart. July 27 is Feast in Courmayeur! Between Gourmet, Tradition and Street Party is celebrated San Panataleone
The Programm
At 18.00, at Courmayeur, the awaited appointment with the tradition that every year features the patron. The parade of Badochys, folk group from the colorful costumes, accompanied by the notes of the music band Courmayeur-La Salle, will warm the audience waiting to leave for the tour of tastings.
The three days will end in the evening with the Street Party, a tour of music and regional culinary excellence. From 18:30 until late at night, in different locations in the heart of the country, you will experience particular combinations between notes and flavors: each stage of the route will host a musical genre or a different instrument, listen to savor some specialties from Aosta Valley.

Tor des Géants 2016
The Tor des Géants is the first and only race to combine long distance with the individual style of runners: the organisation does not impose any compulsory stages, and the winner will be the runner who completes the race in the shortest time, making his or her own decisions on when and how long to stop for rest and refreshment.
The Tor des Géants is the first race of this kind to cover an entire region, running along its spectacular paths at the foot of the highest Four-Thousanders in the Alps and through the Gran Paradiso Natural Park and the Mont Avic Regional Park. All of these particular features help make this such a unique, inimitable race.
This trail is more than just a competitive sports event; it is also a way to promote tourism in the Valle d’Aosta, through the municipalities the race runs through.
The Tor des Géants will take place from 11 to 18 September 2016, with the start set for 10.00 am on Sunday 11 September from Courmayeur.
Runners must complete the route by 4 pm on Saturday 17 September, and prizes will be awarded on Sunday 19 September. The maximum time allotted for completion of the race is 150 hours.
